A device for transporting and cleaning roots and tubers has a heap cleaner, which is made as two screws arranged in immovable bodies, which are semi-cylinders embracing the screws from below and from sides thereof and are formed by rods placed in perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the screws. Between the screws at an angle, the vertex of which is directed upwards, two rod conveyers, the planes of working branches of which are the continuation of the lower parts of immovable bodies, are arranged, and the screws, as regards to each other, have an opposite rotational direction forwarded from the upper parts of the rod conveyers.
