<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal for reducing manufacturing cost by easily fastening both seal lips to a reinforcing ring by dispensing with joining of mutual metallic rings even when separately molding an oil seal lip and a dust seal lip for improving pressure-proof durability in the oil seal particularly used for a mono-tube type shock absorber sealed with, for example, high pressure. <P>SOLUTION: This oil seal 1 has the oil seal lip 3 and the dust seal lip 4 positioned on the opposite side of the oil seal lip 3 via the reinforcing ring 2.
