<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a fuel cell system to supply stable power without being affected by load changes by efficiently carrying out the removal of water produced in the vicinity of electrodes in accordance with cell characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a membrane electrode conjugant having an anode diffusion electrode, a cathode diffusion electrode, and an electrolyte film pinched between them, and a pair of separators pinching the membrane electrode conjugant and forming a fuel flow channel for making fuel pass through between one of them and the anode diffusion electrode and a gas flow channel for making gas pass through between the other and the cathode diffusion electrode. The fuel cell system is also provided with a fuel cell body supplying power to an outside load, a gas supply means for supplying gas containing oxygen at the upstream of the gas flow channel, a flow channel switching means for opening and closing the gas flow channel at its downstream, and an exhaust control means opening and closing the flow channel switching means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
