<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conversion processing method by which optimal display of character data and fine color variation processing according to a model of a portable terminal are provided. <P>SOLUTION: Positional information, size information and time information in the case of color variation are read from a display information data base in which display information including positional information, size information and time information in the case of coler variation of each piece of character data by associating the piece of information with character data. The read positional information of the character data is converted, based on reduction ratio according to the model of the portable terminal. The read size information of the character data is converted, based on the reduction ratio.
