<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for firmly joining dissimilar metals having differ ent melting points. SOLUTION: In the method for joining the dissimilar metals in which the vicinity of the joined surface of the dissimilar metals, such as a brass 1 and a stainless steel or a carbon steel 2 having different melting points is irradiated with beam, such as YAG laser, after heating both metals to a temperature lower than the melting point of a low melting point metal by weaving the beam to the interval between both metals interposing the joined surfaces 3, both metals are melted at good timing by heating them till the high melting point metal side is molten with this beam to join the dissimilar metals.</p> |
