PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification device with which a solid contaminated with dioxins and/or polychlorinated biphenyl is purified and rendered harmless and the compounds contaminating the solid are decomposed and rendered harmless. SOLUTION: The solid contaminated with dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyl is put in a low-pressure chamber having a function inside to accelerate electrons produced by an electron generator by an electric field. The vaporized organic substances are directly irradiated with accelerated electron beams to decompose the organic substances.
