PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyolefinic foaming masterbatch composition which, when added to a halide-free olefin resin, can give a composition which can give foam improved in tear lead, bending modulus, hendleability, and applicability by making the composition include an ethylene/acrylic ester copolymer, silica, and azodicarbonamide. SOLUTION: Ethylene/acrylic ester copolymer (80-90 wt.%) is compounded with 10-5 wt.% silica and 10-5 wt.% azodicarbonamide or 35-40 wt.% ethylene/ acrylic ester copolymer is compounded with 45-50 wt.% pigment, 10-5 wt.% silica, and 10-5 wt.% azodicarbonamide. The obtained polyolefinic foaming masterbatch composition, when added to e.g. a nonhalogen flame-retardant resin composition or a crosslinked polyolefin resin composition, can give a composition which can give a foam having improved flexibility, cells of reduced sizes, and cell dispersedness. |
