PURPOSE: To provide a developer and a development replenisher excellent in development stability, preservation stability, and developing capability, having a low foaming property, and capable of processing positive and negative PS plates in common. CONSTITUTION: This developer contains the silicate having the SiO2 /M2 O mole percentage (M indicates an alkali metal) of 0.5-2.0 and the concentration of 0.01-10%, it has the acid dissociation constant of 1×10<-13> -1×10<-11> , and it contains at least one kind of compound selected from sugars, oximes, phenols, and fluoroalcohols at 0.01mol/l or above. |
