<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser driving signal control method for an optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus which performs recording and reproducing the operation of a signal from an optical pickup to a disk. <P>SOLUTION: The laser driving signal control method has an RF signal amplifier circuit 5 which is inputted with an RF signal obtained from a photodetector 3 for converting a laser beam reflected from disk 4 to an electric signal and amplifies the signal, and a signal level detecting circuit 8 which detects the level of the RF signal obtained from an erasing period sampling circuit 7 disposed to sample the RF signal of an erasing period in the RF signal outputted from the RF signal amplifier circuit 5 at the time of recording operation. Further, the method has a control circuit which sets the erasing level value, peak level value, bottom level value and reproducing level value of a pulse signal for recording to be supplied to a laser diode 1. The method performs servo operation to the circuit for outputting an erasing level signal and performs the correction operation of the reproducing level value according to a change in the erasing level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
