<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic document print system for enabling printing even if designated font data are not prepared on a printer side when a font used for printing is an outline font. <P>SOLUTION: This print system directly transmits electronic document data formed with a PDF format or the like to a printer for printing. The printer 30 is provided with an electronic document (PDF) data interpretation part 32 interpreting the electronic document data and rasterizing them. A computer device 20 is provided with an electronic document data processing part 21. The electronic document data processing part 21 determines whether a CMAP name for using the outline font for printing is described as a name object or not in the electronic document to be printed. When the CMAP name is described as the name object in the electronic document data, the electronic document data processing part 21 adds CMAP resource data matching the CMAP name to the electronic document data to transfer them to the printer 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
