<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an output unit performing output processing based on data received from a portable terminal, or the like, through a radio communication unit in which the radio communication unit can be shared even if the data type being handled by the output units is different. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 1 receives data from a portable telephone 14 through a CF type communication card (infrared communication card) 13 inserted into a card slot. At first, the printer 1 sets up the data of corresponding extensions "jpeg", "vnt" and "vcf" in the CF type communication card 13. The CF type communication card 13 compares the extension of data received from the portable telephone 14 with the corresponding extensions "jpeg", "vnt" and "vcf". If the extension of data matches any one of corresponding extensions, that data is transferred to the printer 1 and if it does not match any one of corresponding extensions, that data is discarded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
