The rail (1) has notches (4) provided along a longitudinal direction of the rail and extending over half the height of the rail to weaken the rail. A bracket (2) is shifted opposite to an upper edge of the rail and projects laterally out. The rail receives a shackle which can be pushed in or locked in a position to fasten goods, where the rail is made of aluminium.
