A method for producing a composition for cosmetics and medicine derived from human placenta is provided to decrease destruction of physiologically activating materials in human placenta, and increase the content of effective components by hydrolysis of human placenta with papain. The method for producing the composition for cosmetics and medicine derived from human placenta comprises the steps of: adding papain into human placenta; hydrolyzing the human placenta in 5% sodium acetate solution at 65 deg. C for 72 hours; and removing impurities from the hydrolysate whose pH is regulated to 5.8 with filtration, vacuum concentration, decoloration and deodorization, desalting or ultrafiltration.
