PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a live fish container made of foamed polystyrene, effective for suppressing the lowering of freshness of live fish caused by the increase of water temperature and the oscillation of liquid surface during the transportation of the live fish and preventing the escape of water from the vessel by the oscillation of the liquid. SOLUTION: The partition 1 for the transportation of live fish and made of a foamed resin has a plurality of through-holes 15, 15' and a cold retainer holding part at the upper part 15' of a part of the through-holes 15, 15'. The motion and the oscillation of the partition 1 are suppressed by providing a protrusion 9 having a height reaching the lower part 8 of a lid and formed on the outer circumference of the cold retainer holding part or increasing the thickness of the outer circumference of the partition 1. The invention further provides a live fish container 3 made of a foamed resin, composed of a container body 3, a lid 7 and a partition 1 and capable of cooling the water by contacting the water lifted on the upper surface 40 of the live fish transportation partition made of a foamed resin with a cold retainer X.
