PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting fishing rod hardly providing anxiety of tangle of a fishline, without requiring long wiring to an illuminant while being the fishing rod in a type with the illuminant built in the interior of the rod, also without requiring a secondary illuminant and capable of being constituted inexpensively and simply. SOLUTION: The light-emitting fishing rod is obtained by attaching an optical fiber for receiving the light of the illuminant such as an LED (light emitting diode) connected (without the long wiring) to an electric source such as a lithium battery in a slender cylinder shape, forming a light-transmitting window obtained by making the nearly tip part of a tip rod of the fishing rod transparent or translucent, and regulating the length of the optical fiber so that the tip may reach the light-transmitting window when the optical fiber is inserted.
