摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide ion conductor which is stable without any degradation or transition in phase even in a low temperature region and which presents high oxide ion conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: Oxide ion conductive material is composed of bismuth-erbium-niobium oxide solid solution indicated by a formula provided with a face-centered cubic crystal system structure: (Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>)x(Er<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>)y(NbO<SB>2.5</SB>)z (0.66<x<0.69, 0.215<y<0.248, 0.075<z<0.108, when x+y+z=1). This oxide ion conductive material differs from bismuth multiple oxides belonging to a conventional face-centered cubic crystal system in that the material is stable without any degradation or transition in phase, even in the low temperature region which is 600&deg;C and less down to 550&deg;C and can present the high oxide ion conductivity of &ge;10<SP>-2</SP>S cm<SP>-1</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
