<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic waste treatment apparatus easily carrying out sterilizing process and reducing a load applied to agitator paddles. <P>SOLUTION: This organic waste treatment apparatus 1 is provided with a fermentation tank 10 crushing and mixing organic waste and fermenting and decomposing it with microorganisms, and a superheated steam sending means 30 sending out superheated steam for sterilizing to the fermentation tank 10. The fermentation tank 10 is a box body having a bottom part whose cross section at its lower part forms a circular arc, and is provided with a plurality of fixed blades disposed on the inner wall of the bottom part; a rotary shaft 13 rotatably disposed so that an axial line is positioned on the center line of the circular arc of the bottom part; and the agitator paddles 14 which are disposed to the rotary shaft 13, have horizontal agitation blades 15 at the tip part thereof to crush organic waste cooperating with the fixed blades, and in which the faces of the horizontal agitation blades 15 have a prescribed twisted angle with respect to the axial line direction of the rotary shaft 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
