摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a klystron capable of effectively guiding the electron beam drawn from an electron gun into a cavity.SOLUTION: A klystron comprises an electron gun 18, a plurality of cavities, a collector, a focusing device 12, and a pole piece structure 13. The electron gun 18 is supported by an electron gun housing 19, and generates an electron beam. The plurality of cavities are arranged along an electron beam traveling direction. The collector captures the beams passing through the cavities. The focusing device 12 includes an electron-gun-side magnetic field generating unit 35 arranged around the electron gun 18 and a main magnetic field generating unit arranged around the cavities. The pole piece structure 13 holds the electron-gun-side magnetic field generating unit 35, and includes a magnetic material 40 arranged between the electron-gun-side magnetic field generating unit 35 and the main magnetic field generating unit around the electron gun 18. The electron gun housing 19 is mounted on the magnetic material 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
