PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of a defective roller where the defective roller with a defective portion can be easily detected from a plurality of rollers when a plate-like body is carried using a roller conveyor parallelly arranged with the plurality of rollers in a prescribed direction.SOLUTION: In a roller conveyor 20 parallelly arranged with a plurality of rollers 21 carrying a plate-like body P in a prescribed direction,: a moving device 30 where each roller 21 is disposed to be movable in an axial direction crossing with the carrying direction of the plate-like body and each roller 21 is individually moved in the axial direction is disposed; the roller 21 is moved in the axial direction by the moving device 30; the change of the position of a defective portion y caused on the plate-like body P carried by a defective roller 21' with a defective portion x is detected; and the defective roller 21' is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
