1. A dental model comprising:
a first component configured to represent a portion of a patient's jaw and defining a socket; at least one second component that is demountably attachable to the first component and configured to represent at least one dental structure in the portion of the patient's jaw, the at least one second component including a shaft shaped to be inserted into the socket of the first component along an insertion direction; a plurality of locally protruding portions located in the socket and extending laterally to the insertion direction of the shaft so as to form an interface between the first and second components; and a spring feature positioned in the socket so as to push the shaft against the plurality of locally protruding portions.
