A roof rack 1 for a vehicle 2 including attachment means 14, 15 for attaching the roof rack 10-13 to the vehicle 2, and tilting means 10a, 15 for tilting the roof rack 1 so as to raise the end of the roof rack 1 that is in use nearer to the rear of the vehicle 2 relative to the end of the roof rack 1 that is in use nearer to the front of the vehicle 2. Rear attachment means 15 may be connected to a tailgate 8 of the vehicle that is hinged at its upper end 9. Forward attachment means 14 may allow for the movement of the roof rack 1 in a longitudinal direction on relation to the vehicle roof 7, and may comprise a channel and roller pair, as well as a selective locking means for preventing longitudinal movement. |
