PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanotube composite fiber manufacturing method capable of improving machine property by a simple method and manufacturing a carbon nanotube composite fiber with well-balanced property of a core material and a carbon nanotube twistless yarn.SOLUTION: A core material 2 that extends in a predetermined direction is prepared. A carbon nanotube twistless yarn 3 is pulled out from carbon nanotubes 12 disposed in a direction perpendicular to a base plate 8. A composite fiber precursor 4 is prepared by winding the carbon nanotube twistless yarn 3 around the core material 2.
