PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a remaining scale on a surface of a steel plate by an electric-resistance measuring method using probes.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: applying a predetermined level of current which can suppress reduction of a scale, to a plurality of probes in contact with a steel plate to be processed (step 1); measuring voltages among probes and measuring an electric resistance of the steel plate, using the voltages and a predetermined current value (step 2); and making a failure determination on the ground of the presence of a remaining scale (step S4) if the obtained electric resistance value is larger than a predetermined threshold value (step 3: Yes).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
