A display panel is provided to locate the boundary portion of a contact hole formed on a passivation layer at a shielding portion of a short pad. A short pad(140) is formed on the first base substrate and includes a transmission member. The transmission member has plural slits for transmitting the light transmitted from the rear of the first base substrate. A shielding member shields the light. A passivation layer(130) is formed on the first base substrate, has a contact hole for exposing the short pad. The boundary of the contact hole is located on the shielding member. The first display substrate is formed on the passivation layer and includes a contact electrode electrically connected with the short pad through the contact hole. The second display substrate includes the second base plate and a common electrode formed on the second base substrate. A conductive spacer(381) is interposed between the first and second display substrates and electrically contacts the contact electrode with the common electrode. |
