A slot type 2D barcode reader is provided to correctly obtain information of a barcode printed on a sheet by receiving the sheet including the barcode through a slot and reading a precise sheet image with a camera module. A casing forms the slot to one side. The camera module is placed to another inner side of the casing, obtains barcode information by capturing the barcode(31) printed on the sheet(30) inserted into the slot(11), and outputs the obtained barcode information. A part forming the slot is made of a transparent material. The camera module includes a capturing part, an ADC(Analog/Digital Converter), an interface, a detector, and a controller. The detector detects whether the sheet is inserted into the slot. If the detector detects insertion of the sheet, the controller enables the camera module to capture the sheet image. |
