1. An apparatus comprising:
a management unit configured to classify face feature information of a plurality of faces extracted from image data in units of similar face feature information into feature groups, and manage linking information for linking each feature group with a person group in a dictionary; a display control unit configured to cause a display unit to display face images based on image data for each person group based on the linking information managed by the management unit; a receiving unit configured to receive a user's correction instruction about the person group displayed on the display unit; and a processing unit configured to perform an associating process of person groups based on the user's correction instruction received by the receiving unit, wherein the processing unit is configured to, if the user's correction instruction is received by the receiving unit, performs the associating process by updating the linking information based on the user's correction instruction, and not to update the classification of the feature groups, and wherein one or more of the management unit, the display control unit, the receiving unit, or the processing unit is implemented by a processor and a memory.
