<p>An intrusion detection barrier (10) uses inner (20) and outer (18) coils defined by helicle barbed tape. The inner coil (20) has an intrusion detection cable (40) securely retained and protected therein. The inner coil (20) is supported centrally within the outer coil (18) by radially extending supports which may be flat straps (30) which are effective to transmit vibrations from the outer coil (18) to the inner coil (20). The straps (30) may be welded (36) or otherwise mechanically connected to both inner (20) and outer (18) coils, and may further be provided with clusters of barbs thereon.</p> |
