DEVICE FOR SLEEPERS HANDLING

The solution concerns gripping and centring of a layer (19) of sleepers (21) by means of a device with a gripping mechanism. The gripping mechanism consists of two vertically moving cars (4) positioned individually in each side of a portal frame (1) of this device. On the frame of the car (4) a support is suspended by means of collateral pulling rods (6). The support (5) serves for gripping of sleepers (21). On the car (4) frame there is also a control frame (8) and a contact console (7) positioned in suspensions. The cars (4) are hinge-connected with a cross beam (11) and a link (20). During manipulation the bearing of the contact console (7) against the surface of the sleepers (21), the contact of the frame (8) with its support (10 and the inclination of the connecting cross-beam (11) of the cars (4) are checked.<IMAGE>
