PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicide capable of completely exterminating any kind of weed by single application by combining a known herbicide for paddy rice seedling with O-(3-tert-butylphenyl)-N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)-N- methylthiocarbamate and dymron. CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicide contains (A) a compound of formula I [Q is group of formula II, formula III or formula IV (R3 is alkyl; R4 is H, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, etc.); R1 and R2 are alkyl or alkoxy] (e.g. the compound of formula V) or its salt, (B) O-(3-tert-butylphenyl)-N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)- Nmethylthiocarbamate and (C) dymron [=1-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-3-(4- methylphenyl)urea] as active components. The herbicide has decreased phytotoxicity, suppresses the growth of practically all kinds of weeds by single scattering to paddy field, keeps the growth-suppressing effect to an extent to dispense with the herbicidal work before and after the treatment and exhibits excellent safety to paddy rice plant. |
