<p>PURPOSE:To provide a vibration detector by which accurate detection becomes possible regardless of an installation place. CONSTITUTION:Vibration of a material to be detected is detected by a vibration detector 5, and is converted into a pulse signal. The pulse signal is inputted to a vibrational characteristic computing unit 10, and a vibrational characteristic is extracted. The extracted vibrational characteristic is preselected by a sensitivity setting part 15, and is inputted to inferential parts. A fuzzy inference is carried out on the vibrational characteristic inputted to either one of the inferential parts according to a rule and a membership function stored therein. An inference is made on whether it is an earthquake or the other vibration, and a prescribed processing is carried out according to this inferential result.</p> |
