PURPOSE:To generate sufficiently small resistance when a brake pedal is stepped on and a desired shock absorbing force when the brake pedal is restored by providing a return spring extended between a frame and the brake pedal and a release device to release contact having a high frictional resistance to the brake pedal of the second coil spring. CONSTITUTION:A diametrically contracted coil spring 12 is wound tightly round the outer peripheral surface 41, and sliding frictional resistance is incresed between the coil spring 12 and the outer peripheral surface 41, and rotation in the B direction of a cylinder part 24 is blocked, and a pedal arm 22 is held in the stepping-on position, and maintains a brake applied condition. On the other hand, when a release cable 69 is pulled in the F direction so as to release a brake, a release lever 62 is put in turning motion in the D direction, and the one end 67 comes into contact with the other end 42 of the coil spring 12, so that the coil spring 12 is expanded diametrically. |
