<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of change in predicting an extraction pitch, to prevent deterioration in the quality of a billet, to save energy and to reduce the load of the judging operation of an on-the-job worker by predicting the extraction pitch with high precision at the time of inserting the billet. CONSTITUTION:The method is provided with a first means 2 by which the actual instance 3 of a past rolling pass schedule is retrieved and corrected and by which the rolling pitch at the maximum rolling capacity is knowledge- processed and predicted, a second means 4 by which a heating pitch at the maximum heating capacity is operated, and a third means 5 by which the rearrangement of the suspension time obtained by predicting a suspension time and a generating time for rolling and the suspension of the billet in the furnace is knowledge-processed; and the maximum value among the rolling pitch, heating pitch and the suspension time for operation, which are each predicted by the above three means, are decided by the extraction pitch of the continuous heating furnace.</p> |
