<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate degradation in measuring accuracy caused by polarizer pair and to facilitate combination structure with a lens system and Faraday element. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light source 1 is, through an optical fiber 2 and lens system 3, introduced from a face plate 10 to a Savart plate 11, and by the use of the Savart plate 11, it is split into linear polarized light beams, orthogonal to each other, by anisotropy and birefringence of a crystal, and the linear polarized light beams are, while passing through a Faraday element 5, subjected to Faraday rotation according to the measured current, and then synthesized while passing through the Savart plate 13, so that optical output corresponding to the measured current is obtained through a face plate 12.</p> |
