Method and arrangement for a d.c. transmission

The transmission system has control signals for the current regulators (5a,5b) at either end of the transmission system provided by respective regulating circuits (11a,11b), coupled to the current regulator control device (9a,9b). The measured DC voltage (Ua) at the transmission end is used for calculating the required regulator current and voltage dependent on the power (Ps) to be transmitted compared with the actual current and voltage values, for controlling the regulator. Similarly the transmitted power at the reception end is used to calculate the required current and voltage for the regulator, which is controlled by comparing these with the actual current and voltage values.
