PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method in which a shuttle mechanism part is used in even a high-speed mode by a DC motor of a degree durable to operation of a low-speed mode in realation to operation control in the shuttle mechanism part of a dot line printer using the DC motor. SOLUTION: In the high-speed mode of a shuttle mechanism part, temperature rise of a DC motor is estimated by directly detecting the temperature of a coil of the motor or by the reversal number of times in unit time. Automatic changeover to a low-speed mode is performed so as not to over allowable value. Or, current inputted at time of acceleration or deceleration is lowered by interrupting operation. Or, input current is stopped by interrupting operation. In such a way, the temperature rise of the DC motor is controlled within allowable value in operation of the high-speed mode. |
