<p>The door handle assembly has a handle (6) rotatably mounted in a housing (5) fastened to the door. The handle has a handle section (61) and a pair of retaining arms (62,63), which extend inwards from the handle section. A balance weight (8) is located between the retaining arms and lies opposite the rotational axis of the handle. The weight is fixed to the retaining arms at both ends. A shaft section (82) is formed on one end of the weight and extends between the retaining arms. An unlocking component (9) is fitted on the shaft and engages with an element of a door locking mechanism fixed in the door.</p>
