PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain granular ceramic for producing reduced water having a low oxidation-reduction potential suitable for drinking water, etc., by baking a specific composition of natural zeolite, baked powder of shells, silver nitrate, magnesium oxide, potassium oxide, sodium oxide, selenium oxide and ferric oxide. SOLUTION: This granular ceramic is obtained by mixing 30-100 pts.wt. of baked powder of natural zeolite crushed to <=50 μm average particle diameter and baked at 700-1,100 deg.C for 4-40 hrs and 5-60 pts.wt. of baked powder of shells crushed to <=50 μm average particle diameter and baked at 1,000-1,500 deg.C for 10-200 min with respectively 3-8 pts.wt. of silver nitrate and magnesium oxide, and respectively 0.3-3 pts.wt. of potassium oxide, sodium oxide, selenium oxide and ferric oxide, and suitable amount of organic binder, molding to a granular state, baking at 400-600 deg.C for 2-14 hrs and further baking at 800-1,300 deg.C for 10-60 hrs. City water having +420 mV of oxidation-reduction potential can be made to water having -5 mV of the potential by using the ceramic. |
