PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of an image artifact, visual noise, and excessive ink application, and shorten the time of print by furnishing a printer performance look up table for a waveform to divide a printer head arbitrarily. SOLUTION: In order to drive a printer head 50 having a plurality of nozzles for spouting ink droplets 47, a waveform generator 230 is furnished, which generates a plurality of electronic waveforms determined by a plurality of electronic droplet pulses applied to each nozzle. The waveform generator 230 is controlled by a controller 220 for controlling ejection of ink droplets in reference to a printer performance look up table 60 in conjunction with the waveform generator 230. Also, a calibrator 70 is provided for converting an picture element value into a plurality of waveform index numbers in relation with each one of a series of numbers of waveforms for determining a calibrated image file. In this manner, the image file is quantified by an image gradation unit 210 for inputting the formed image file. |
