Telephone circuit providing connection to local telephone network

The telephone circuit for a telephone or a telephone installation provides a connection to a local telephone network (10), which is supplied with a selected number sequence. The circuit provides detection of a zero at the beginning of the number sequence and conversion to provide a number sequence without a zero at its beginning, the remainder of the number sequence remaining unaltered. The number sequence with a zero at its beginning may be converted via a microprocessor (4) storing number sequences for replacing the number sequences beginning with zero.
