Pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating a Th1 cell- or Th2-cel l- related disease in a human or an animal by modulating the Th1/Th2 ratio comprising an active substance consisting of (i) IL-4 and SDF-1.alpha., or I L- 2 and SDF-1.alpha., respectively, as well as modulators thereof, (ii) an IL- 4 stimulating adjuvant and SDF-1.alpha., or an IL-2 stimulating adjuvant and S DF- 1.alpha., respectively, (iii) a modulator of the tyrosine kinases Syk or ZAP - 70, or (iv) a modulator of the nuclear factors of activated T cells NFAT1 or NFAT2.
