PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically determine the setting of the control quantity in a short time by a simple process in order to control the drive so that the stroke of a pressing pin is a target value. SOLUTION: When the feed flow rate to a pressing cylinder is employed as the control quantity of the pressing pin, the initial set value Q1 is set to be 50% in terms of the opening of a flow rate control valve, and then, set to the flow rate Q2 corresponding to the opening of 75% between the maximum opening of 100% and 50%. Q3, Q4 and Q5 are successively set to the set value immediately before, and the intermediate value of the previous set values, and trial is performed before the stroke value is within a range of the predetermined stroke.
