PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall preventive tool for a spring for a press die which is adaptable to the compression of the spring by allowing an elastic locking tool to be bitten between wires of the spring, free from danger of breakage or destruction, capable of reliably preventing a fall of the spring, excellent in biting by tapering a collar and the locking tool, adaptable to the spring of any size by forming the collar in an attachable/detachable manner, and has many variation of the elastic locking tool of circular and polygonal shape, and preventing damages on a backing plate, etc., by a receiving plate. SOLUTION: This fall preventive tool comprises a spring guide retainer which is fitted to the press die for preventing collapse into the spring so as to prevent the spring from being fallen, a fixing bolt for fixing the spring guide retainer to the press die, a tapered collar provided on a lower part of the spring guide retainer, and the elastic locking tool provided on the outer circumference of the collar. The elastic locking tool is swollen in the horizontal direction to hold the spring by rotating the fixing bolt to push down the tapered collar.
