PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent not only entering of viruses, insanitary insect pests, an odor or the like, for example, attributed to a shortage of a sealing water in the drain trap, but also contamination, rot, etc., of the sealing water. SOLUTION: The sealing water supplying method for the drain trap is for supplying the sealing water to the drain trap of a sanitary fixture using tap water. The water supplying method includes a process of operating a flow passage opening/closing device 30 for opening and closing the flow passage of a water pipe 4m in an exclusive section of an apartment house to keep the flow passage of the water pipe 4m slightly opened, and a process of opening an aqueduct faucet 11s of the sanitary fixture before or after the above-mentioned process to keep the faucet 11s open.
