<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in jetting stability and preservation stability, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises a pigment dispersed in a solvent and contains a water-soluble polyurethane resin subjected to a heat ageing treatment in an atmosphere of 40-70°C for 3-6 days. Preferably, the content of the water-soluble polyurethane resin is at least 10.0 wt% based on the total weight (100 wt%) of the pigment.
