<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire excessive length absorber capable of housing the bending part of a wire harness for a thinner case body without forming a protrusion on a case body. <P>SOLUTION: A case 30 houses a wire harness 25 and comprises a guide-in opening and a guide-out opening 35 of the wire harness 25. An energizing member 23 energizes the wire harness 25 in the direction for pulling in the case 30. A harness winding/hooking member 15 reciprocates while receiving energization by the energizing member 23. The guide-opening is provided in the direction across the guide-out opening 35. A bending housing 20 is formed between the case 30 and the energizing member 23, and a bending part 27 of the wire harness 25 is introduced in the guide-in opening and housed in the bending housing 20.
