PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing device and a drawing method for changing a generation number of control points based on obtained system information and for generating a free curved surface/a free curved line in a three-dimensional object with optimum rendering quality according to the situation of a system. SOLUTION: System information such as a clock gear ratio of this drawing device influencing a drawing process, an assigned bandwidth, a bus traffic amount, a network traffic amount and interrupt frequency of the drawing device, or drawing object information influencing how the drawing object looks such as moving speed information, display area information of the drawing object, distance information to a notable object, object number information, size information, display period information and image quality information of a display part are acquired. By controlling the generation number of control points used for generating a free curved surface/a curved line according to at least one of the acquired pieces of information, a drawing part 100 can control the calculation amount of the free curved surface/curved line creation according to the situation of the system.
