<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous signboard using photovoltatic power generation enabling illumination even in rainy weather and cloudy weather. <P>SOLUTION: The luminous signboard utilizes a photovoltatic power generation, which has a sunshine photodetection plate and/or a solar battery in an outdoor sunshine irradiation space, charges a storage battery through a charging controller in the presence of the sunshine, discharges the storage battery in the night, rainy weather, or cloudy weather in the absence of the sunshine, and thus turns on LEDs through the discharging controller to light up desired characters and a pattern. The luminous signboard uses one or more sunshine photodetection plates which are each longitudinally 25 to 90 cm and laterally 30 to 130 cm large if required and utilizes the photovoltatic power generation, and the size of the charging controller, the storage battery, and a storage box for the charging controller matches the total capacity of the sunshine photodetection plates. Electric power is supplied from a commercial power source to the storage battery in rainy weather or cloudy weather to light the luminous signboard in the night. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
