<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress formation of deposit on a cylinder injection injector in failure of a high pressure fuel system. <P>SOLUTION: An engine ECU executes a program including a step S100 determining whether the high pressure fuel system is irregular or not, a step S120 injecting fuel from the cylinder injection injector at a feed pressure when the high pressure fuel system is irregular (YES in S100) and the cylinder direction injector is not irregular (NO in S110), a step S130 selecting a criterion 1 which is limit reference for milder engine output limit, a step S140 stopping the cylinder injection injector when the high pressure fuel system is irregular (YES in S100) and the cylinder injection injector is irregular (YES in S110), and a step S150 selecting a criterion 2 which is limit reference for stricter engine output limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
