PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a light diffusion layer which permits wide viewing angle and high precision and reduces the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A transfer surface 34 corresponding to a lens shape of fine cylindrical lens group is formed on the surface of a second releasing film 35. An uncured binder 10a incorporated with a light diffusion agent 10b is applied onto a first releasing film 37. The transfer surface 34 of the second releasing film 35 is allowed to adhere to the binder 10a. The first releasing film 37 is peeled and the binder 10a is allowed to adhere to a light-transmissive substrate 17. The binder 10a is irradiated with active energy rays through the second releasing film 35 and, thereby, is cured, the lens shape of the transfer surface is transferred to the surface of a light diffusion layer 16 and, thereby, a diffusion lens part 19 on which cylindrical lenses 19a are arranged in parallel is formed. Then, the first releasing film is peeled. As the result, the light diffusion layer 16 and the diffusion lens part 19 are formed at the same time by the transferring. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
