PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately monitor a change state from a liquid phase to a solid phase when a liquid phase material is solidified, and accurately estimate a finish time of a phase change. SOLUTION: A phase change state detector for the liquid phase material has a means for transmitting ultrasonic waves, a means for receiving the ultrasonic waves, a means for converting the received ultrasonic waves into an electrical signal and finding a temporal change rate of the magnitude of the electrical signal, a means for comparing the magnitude of the electrical signal received in a liquid state with the magnitude of the electrical signal during a progress in the phase change, a means for estimating the phase change state from the temporal change rate and a comparison result of the comparison means, and a means for displaying the estimated phase change state.
